About

Troy Acklin has been imagining and creating things from leather, wood and metal since he was seventeen. His passion is to make beautiful, wearable things that can stand the test of use and time.

He met his wife, Rachael, in 2007 at Penguicon, a Science Fiction / Open Source convention held every spring in Troy, Michigan. They were married the next year at the same convention, in a pirate wedding ceremony. They spend their time homeschooling their three oldest children, snuggling their new baby, going on thrift store expeditions, and cooking tasty family dinners. Rachael is his bookkeeper and web designer, his best friend, and the love of his life.

Troy works from home, which means that he can meet with you just about any time that is best for you. When he isn’t actively creating something for a client, he is dreaming up new patterns and ideas, and collecting new materials to use in future projects.
